 Dear Potential Superhero,

In April 2009, Hope of Mother launched its fifth program for the people of Afghanistan. The newly developed center for extracurricular activities is both an after school center and a program for professional development, emphasizing personal attention with the underprivileged children of Afghanistan, including orphans, victims of child labor, human trafficking and suicide bombers. Hope of Mother has introduced creative and progressive activities for these children and participants to explore. The center offers very detailed and personable instruction on gem stone cutting and polishing, jewelry design, carpet weaving, sewing and design, conversational English courses and a mandatory self-defense course three times a week. Most courses are part of a certification program, allowing student to develop professional skills that can be applied immediately in the market. By creating a new generation of qualified workers, the local economy continues to grow and students create their own paths of self worth and empowerment by accomplishing tasks with end results and rewards.

The charity event will host awareness presentations, entertainment, live performances and raffles.  We are asking local businesses for donations that can be used in this raffle and would greatly appreciate any offering you would be able to provide.  We are looking for merchandise or other items that support the Hope of Mother mission.

If you decide to contribute a donation, your business will be acknowledged at our event, on our website and in other communications that extend through 2010.  We would also like to give you further exposure by providing you an opportunity to display merchandise and information on August 26, 2009, the day of our raffle at the launch party of Hope Of Mother SF.
