Programs

Our goal-

Develop an institution that would cater to the region in size
and patient capacity at higher volumes. We are looking to attract
medical professionals, medical staffs, and specialists to help end the
mortality rates in the Nengahar province of Kunar.

Current Programs

SPAE- Shawl Patcha Academy of Education-

A private institution built by HOM in the largest Opium cultivated region of the Nengrahar  to present the youth with basic education and options for better life by offering courses in health, sciences, mathematics, English, Pashtu, History, and Religion. Serving 600 children a year, 300 youngmen and 300 young women. SPAE is the first school provided for women in the region in its history.

Shaw Wali Khan Center for Orphans-

A recreational center put in place to serve the orphan children with opportunities for capacity development in areas of craftsmanship, jewelry design, interior décor, self defense, athletics and after school tutoring/mentorship.  The Rec center, allows HOM to pull children in to the program  and give them a vision using there talents and the natural resources available and prevent potential captivity by terrorist organizations to later brainwash and use these children as weapons i.e. suicide bombers, “martyrs”.

Lilys Medical Clinic

The first medical clinic put in to the Surchroad Village of Afghanistan was built and managed by HOM. The name Lily was motivated by a young lady from the village who suffers from severe down syndrome and has been protecting the building since the day of construction. When the clinic was complete the day of the ribbon cutting, we gave little Lily a white coat and assigned her as the head of the clinic for the people. We named the clinic after Lily to give her hope and a goal, lily’s has promised to become  the villages physician one day and take care of all.

The clinic is currently active and led by a team of local Physicians and Assistants. Medical supplies, medical treatment and medicines have also been donated by local PRT units, international medical groups.

Afghan Womens Boxing Federation

Athletics was used by HOM as the key to empowering the young unempowered women of Afghanistan. In  2007 HOM took the initiative of presenting the Olympic committee, The Afghan Government, and the world with the chance to allow the young women of Afghanistan to act on the most male dominated activity and become a success at it, proving to the world, our next generation is open and accepting a social change. The launch of AWBF was a struggle, but well worth it, we currently have several boxing clubs for women and have been able to form a National team to represent the Nation’s development. HOM has handed the program over the to Afghan Boxing Federation after building and presenting the young women, with a years worth of basic instruction for our provided US trainers, Fairtex equipment, Fairtex gear, Faritex clothing, and Hope!
